If you are thinking of learning beginner blues guitar, you need to buy a good guitar first. As a beginner, you will certainly not need a very expensive instrument. But a standard guitar is going to make the learning process much more enjoyable.
The bond between the player and the instrument is very important in all forms of music. This is more so in case of blues guitar because the music is soulful and feels like an extension of the self. So, when you are buying your first guitar, few cautionary approaches need to be taken.
There are many good brands available in the market like Gibson, Les Paul, Fender and so on. These respective brands have separate models and the price range also varies widely. But as a beginner you might want to settle down for an instrument which will cost around $300-$400. This is the lower medium range as the prices can go up very high in case of more sophisticated versions. You also need to avoid the very cheap ones because they might sound really bad despite all your efforts.
